MS Smartphone from O2 (Asia... for now...)

    found some info on PPCW.net about O2 Asia offering the MS Smartphone (they also offer the XDA to Asian Markets)...

    wonder if/when it will be available here - no word on the handset model yet

    it's the OS they will use alright - that handset is the SPV based on the original HTC Canary reference design, soon to be replaced by the new HTC Tanager reference design on Orange (also submitted to the FCC so people are thinking it will be the first MS Smartphone for the US)

    although Arne on PPCW.net said O2 they wern't going to be using the Tanager - so it's still up in the air which model they are going with at the moment maybe a new HTC design / alternative manufacturer - would be unimpressed if they passed off the Canary model as a "new" handset as it is already a generation old (with the Tanager being released)
