Why not let the developers give the introduction [taken from BPR GT Mod read me file]

    QUOTE

"Nine months in development is with great pleasure that we present to you the culmination of over
9 months of development, the BPR GT mod for F1-2002. What started as a simple F-40 model back in August
of 2002 has eventually evolved into a full mod production, spanning the most prominent GT-1 cars of the
mid-nineties in what was a golden age of sports car racing. We hope you find great enjoyment in
playing the BPR Global Endurance GT Mod."

    UNQUOTE

Yes the golden age of sportscar racing. The legendary exotic GT cars at your disposal are the McLaren
    F1 GTR, Ferrari F-40 GTE/LM, Lotus Esprit V8 and the Venturi 600 LM/LM-S.
They are all beautifully recreated by Jon-Jon Santiago, known for the JGTC GT-300 car set for SCGT
with the physics engine coming from Xzibit-A, known for his physics patches for the JGTC car sets.
I downloaded this mod lastnight [28-04-03] and installed early this morning [day off :)].
Installation procedure was spot on with no problems at all.Its a simple double-click affair with the
installer auto finding your F1 2002 installation folder.I have GTR 2002,BMW M3, installed in mine
already but rest-assured BPR installs without a hitch.

Presentation and menu system are nice enough but once you hit the track it all comes together nicely.
I took the Ferrari F-40 out at Monza as its a simple track, straight away i knew this was a special mod.
Some of you may be surprised at the cockpit modelling ie no steering wheel, but all neccessary info is
    displayed and easy to read.
NOTE : you can turn on the steering wheel via a simple file edit in BPR folder but to be honest it gets
in the way of your view. The developers have intentionally limited the cockpit to create a vast racing
view and to increase framerate. While on the subject Framerate is simply pheneomonal compared to all
other F1 2002 mods but still retaining gorgeous looking cars.

The physics to me feel very similar to GTR 2002s all conquering physics.I found i could provoke the rear
end to step out quite easily compared to GTR.Im no expert but these cars feel right ,they feel authentic,
they feel like the fire breathing GT cars of yesteryear, with 600 plus bhp at your disposal with all aids
off they are a handfull but hugely rewarding to drive.Left foot braking as with most sims is not
reccomended but essential as you actually steer with your accelarating/braking forces.
Sounds are very good in most cases ,i found the McLaren sounds poor but sound is a matter of taste as
lots of guys on the official BPR forums love the mc Laren sound.Turbo sounds are very well done
especially the lift off [psstthh!!!] sound from the dump-valve.
AI seem fine with good close racing to be had with them,[the developers say there will be updates to the
    AI at later dates].
I havent tried it online yet but anyone who are familiar with the netcode for F1 2002 and the other mods
    know what to expect.

Well guys ive been playing BPR for about 5 hours since installation and have played most racing sims and
mods out there for the past 5 years or so.
I am very impressed with BPR mainly because its close to GTR 2002 in the all important physics department
framerate has got to be seen to be believed and sound is very good, but over all my favourite part is
the authentic feeling of racing these supercars of days gone by.

I ran BPR GT mod on:
    P4 1.5,Geforce 4 TI 4200,384 mb.
Momo Force force feedback wheel and pedals.

I forgot to add in a couple of flaws ive come across.
While braking for a corner the downshifting can be awkward,ie the rear end will spin round if your downshifts are not 100% precise and controlled.
It can be annoying but i got used to later downshifts to compensate.
Some guys on official forums love this feature while others hate it.

Another flaw and a somewhat bigger one is the occasional slowdown of the AI cars on the start/finish line, but i hear this will be sorted soon.

if you are lucky enough to have a clutch contol of some kind then you sould be able to heel-toe your way around the wheels locking up.
