    Does any one remember "you cant do that on television" ,until recently i thought all my memorys of the show were some kind of pcychadelic dreams or something i had, but i found out from a friend that it did exist. all i can remember are kids getting slimed, people in lockers telling jokes, the filthy burger bar, guys in prison and some kid facing a firing squad in mexico but never gets shot. must have been mid-late 80's id say.

    any memorys?

    I rembered the sliming and the burger bar, just got a flashback memory of the lockers when i read that.
    I must try and find an episode to download, used to watch that all the time

    It fell into that category of canadian television along with ready or not, and the shocking controversial storylines of degrassi junior high! Alanis Morissette actually had a bit part in YCDTOT in her early days, as the introspective kid, I think she got slimed actually...:D

    Have vague recollections of "you can't do that on television". The gunging used to freak me out. Used to love the really bad family in it - "children, your father and I are only living in sin, so we could have you lot as bridesmaids when we do get married". "I'm afraid you can just take a dump in the garden".

    As soon as I read that I remembered that disgusting chef wiping the burgers under his arms before giving them to the kids...then the kids finding out and puking under the table.
