Seemingly he was too stereotypical and showed a chauvinistic side to Yorkie which is strange cos their latest campaign has a very anti-female approach.
"This is a big step for Yorkie as the trucker has been an institution, but we felt that we needed to take a stand for the British bloke and reclaim some things in his life, starting with his chocolate," said Andrew Harrison, the marketign director at Nestle.
He was in loads of ads but can't really remember too many.

Funny, how did it go "Good rich and thick, a milk chocolate brick.."

I remember they were 17P .. I have the ad on video somewhere.
Cool, at the end he gets out of the truck and the shot from a distance shows he is clearly mr 70s, hes wearing flares...

Yorkie. It's not for girls. :)
I remember a few ads with the Yorkie man, the one that stands out is when he is in a field hiding in a scare crow and when all the cops pass by he sticks his head and arm out and bites the Yorkie.

Thanks to the wonders of youtube, which was unavailable in 2003 this thread can be resurected. The comments contain a disturbing amount of jokes about the Yorkshire ripper, although thats not suurprising the way Yorkie man leers at that female driver. http://youtu.be/olI5xzshtFQ

Is your one in the car the same actress in this old Tramp perfume ad? (Tramp:D) It looks a lot like her.

Ah that brings back memories. I was able to sing along with every line.

Nowadays Yorkie man would be obese if he ate that many bars of choccy and just sat in the truck ogling women in convertible cars all day.

Actually, looking at that ad, Yorkie man was a bit of allright!

I was very small when that ad was on TV and it had me thinking that a Yorkie was called a Coast. :)

Yorkies were nicer then and used to have 6 chunks compared to 5 now
The Yorkie Easter Eggs was always the one to get as a kid as it would be a different type of truck every year
