Ever find that when you re-watch a film on tv that you've seen in the cinema that it just doesn't have the same impact on you?

Maybe it's the larger screen, maybe its the increased noise level, maybe it's the first time viewing experience or maybe it's just watching a film with a bunch of people you'll never know but whatever it is I've come to the conclustion that watching a film on TV is just a big f.ing waste of time.

Anyone else have the same opinion?

i wouldn't say it's a waste of time... but definitely nowhere near as good as watching it in the cinema. you really only miss out if you see the film for the first time on the box and not big screen. unless ofcourse you happen to have a very large TV or a projector with surround sound... then you're probably better off at home!

Myself and my brother went to see THE TWO TOWERS in galway omniplex. The first time the sound was messed up( the music seemed to break up when it got too high) , second time ditto - we walked out and got a refund.

So, we're reeeaaallllyyyyy looking forward to watching it at home on a decent tv and sound system!! That was the main screen by the way- hopefully it'll be fixed for matrix etc.

You have to watch a movie in the savoy in Dublin.

The new multiplexs never do a movie justice.

The Ster Century Cinema in the liffey valley shopping centre... has to be by far the best screen around.

All depends on your tv/sound system and the mood your in..

I just like to get out of the house.

I'd go play games in arcades too if they weren't so overpriced.
