Pity poor ALYSON, the Irish girl, in Nice this morning……….

Last night France’s most viewed tv station, the now privatised TF1, launched its third Loft Story ( Big Brother in the anglophone world) but with a difference : all candidates for initial selection had to have fluent French and a ‘certain level of education’ and had to be from European countries including Ireland. The series comes from a villa overlooking the sea in Nice and following the 140 minute spectacular launch last night without, disappointingly, Alyson who had been shortlisted up to Friday, there will be a daily highlights programme and a weekly resume every Saturday night on TF1. The usual pattern of evictions will take place over the coming and the winner from the of six women and six men, including wonder of wonders two Italians, will win 300,000 euro.
By the way, Eleanor, from the island east of us did get through……..
