Monty and Amp must be breathing sighs of relief... Now After hours and Humanities will not have the monthly God debate and poor Justhalf needs to keep things in order. You sir are a very brave man :D

Oh this does not appear in the drop down menu yet.. just so you know!

Would be fun to merge it with Paganism and see what happens

May it become the centre for debate and discussion that we all hope it to be!

May JustHalf keep his wits about him!

May his glorious rule last a thousand ages!

    etc....

I was talking to DeVore, and he said that this board would appear in the drop down menu when it was regenerated; apparently this happens overnight.

    That is true.

Full Disclosure: I despise organised "religion". Churchs, structures, collections, etc etc.

On the other hand I am very "pro" communities even ones I dont perhaps agree with (and I'm not necessaraily referring to Christianity here :) ).

Bottom line: if Justhalf needs someone to growl and frown at any muppets, then I'm all up for the job. My bite is worse then my bark. :)

Um, how to put the next bit.... I dont want to see Boards turned into a christianity-fest. We have a lot of different flavours mixed in this here *thing*. Some are stronger then others and can make things unpalatable. You wouldnt add tobasco sauce like you would add soya...

So I'll make you all a deal. I'll defend your right to express whatever faith you have in a corner of the site and I'll land on anyone who comes here to cause trouble. Equally I expect the same respect and civility extended to other communities here.

That may seem unfair or unnecessary to say but I've been buttonholed by "Christians" (note inverted-commas) on the street and I've seen their lack of consideration for others firsthand. That wont happen here and thats not a prediction :)

Most of all enjoy your community and I hope life long friendships spring from it.

    DeV.

/me digs up his wierd bible stories such as the foreskin quest (I Samuel 18:24) and God's punishment to the Israelis to eat poop! (Ezekiel 4:12-13) for possible use.

Maybe some "Divine Intervention" is needed?
Is there a limit to how many can stick up in the drop down menu?
Might be an idea to have a "Personal Belief's" section and stick this and Paganism into it.

A section for religious communities might look a bit empty if there's just the two of so far. Maybe if others look for boards it might be a good idea though.

    Get with the charter already!

God help us, just noticed this now.
Best of luck running this community, for it should prove a "lively" area to discuss the mutually regard we hold our various Christian Demoninations in. :)

Let us hope it is full of many a quodlibet - A subtle debate over a theological point by Christians.

    :)

To say the least. This forum has lost a great deal of its original purpose since 2003.

I wish I could go back to 2003.

The prejudice about starting this board in 2003 is the very same right now, no different. Just read the thread - it's marvelous and very much in a 2003 way eye opening to be granted this bit of the server with an opinion.

It's not 'Christianity' unfolded, Christianity is way older than 'boards' - it's as the forum owners say a tiny spot to talk and nothing more to eachother, they could do nothing else really, so no thanks necessary.

...but the regulars have made it more, and so too have the guys who try their best to moderate it, who work foc. We collectively make it what it is - good some days and bad others - but it's more real than some forums on this 'boards.ie' and it's got some very real people who post their very real thoughts. It's just a bit of cyberspace - the best thing about it is not the space graciously allowed, but the people.
