Hi all, this could be really important if its a success. We are having trouble targeting non web savy Designers out there so if you know anyone or know of someone who knows someone please pass on these details.
The press release probably tells it better.

    PRESS RELEASE 23.04.2003
    _______________________________________________

    Salary Survey
Since early march of this year we have been running an online salary survey.
We hope the results of this survey should provide us with crucial information of interest to designers in all areas of the industry.

Our aim is to use the results of the survey to provide a useful and accurate benchmark in salary levels and billing rates, show growth areas in the design industry and highlight salary differences in different sectors and regions. It will also highlight common benefits and salary packaging and provide employers and employees with useful reference.

We have had a very positive response to the survey for far but obviously the more participants the clearer the picture will be.

The online form can be found at

    http://www.dgi.ie/salary/default.htm

and should take less than ten minutes to fill in. Any information you submit will be completely anonymous and confidential. If you prefer you can download a PDF of the survey and post it to the address provided.

We aim to publish the results of this first survey on our website by early June 2003. We plan to carry out similar surveys on a regular basis so if you have any suggestions for future versions please let us know by emailing info@dgi.ie

    The Designers Guild of Ireland.
A non-profit organisation working for Designers and Irish Design.

The Designers Guild of Ireland is a network of like minded designers from across the design industry. We hope to establish an organisation which will offer representation and practical services on an individual level for designers.

    Our aims are.
To facilitate the advancement of the design profession and design in Ireland.
To provide designers with the tools and information to take control of their professional lives.
To establish fair and productive working relationships between designers, their clients and their employers.

We are currently in development stage and plan to spend the next couple of months building an organisation that will be as efficient and as accessible as possible. If you are interested in helping shape the DGI you can join our
    mailing list at www.dgi.ie
