Ok, I've struggled with low fps for a
long time and (thanks to Slaan , ya lad ye)
I've gotten a command that improves things somewhat.

D_MIPCAP is usally 0 , set it to 5
D_MIPSCALE is usally 1, set it to 5

It's dead weird but quite playable.
try it , you might like it

Doesn't do much for my FPS at all!
Gain about .4 secs and .2 more FPS. I'd
rather the graphics then .2 more frames!
