Remember when Leo was almost caught by Tom in his hotel room? Leo's wallet was full of labels? My question is why?
Was it just because he was good at peeling labels....was he planning ahead in case he was caught......

    Clearly I'm bored silly........

    ps. Two mice Frank....:D

Probably a mix between practising and making it look like he had a badge in his wallet.

    You didn't like it I take it!!!:D
I really enjoyed it, -not the biggest Leo fan, but he does that kind of thing well, much better than he was in GANGS.
Hanks appeared to just be killing time in this one- but I still rate him pretty highly as an actor. He was class in SHAVING RYANS PRIVATES and STREETS OF PHILIDELPHIA.

Peeling labels was just a nervous habit of his as by my memory he was doing it long before this particular scene occured? In the hotel room and at short notice he needed appropriately sized paper to make the wallet seem full - the labels fitted the bill. It was not pre-meditated IMHO.

yeah, it's probably as simple as that.......it just felt slightly unexplained to me!! I thought maybe somebody might have seen the documentary or read the book, and that MAYBE a bit was edited out or something......

I thought it was a great film, never seen any real flaws in it, great acting (even tho I hate Dicaprio he was very good in this), great directing, and a very good story.

I'm reading the book at the moment, when I get to that bit I'll post up what it says.
I saw the film first and decided that I'd like to get the full story as I heard the book had a lot more detail. I'm already seeing differences between the book and film but it's still really good!

I read the book a few weeks ago and it does go in to more detail especially about his time in prison in France and Sweden (I think!), which the film only touched on.

Great movie though IMO, I got a good few laughs from it.

Ok so I've finished the book, sorry it took so long, was only reading it on the train.
There is no mention of that scene in the hotel room and the wallet full of bills.. in fact in the book he never mentions about peeling labels off things. The book is great btw, much better than the film. Amazing man!

i read the book as well. Fascinating story. It's a lot more frightening when he gets caught than they make out in the film.

yeah and the time spent in prison in france was horrific..

I spose it's hard to push 5 years of life in 90mins of film.

Thanks anyway, I suppose it's because they tacked-on that bit, it seemed incomplete to me:)
