Comreg and DSL exchnage probs

    Would i have a case with comreg with the imcompetence that eircom has shown over this whole DSL fiasco, spefically concerning the fact that the dsl exchange in waterford is enabled and they passed me on the first day of ISTREAM starter launch and then failed me 5 days later with no reason or explanation given

    To be honest ive already sent off an e-mail to comreg regarding this but it came back as a MAILER DAEMON failure (no surprise there) so my next thing to do is actually call them if i have a case that is im actually not the only person that this has happened to as its been going on down in Cork as well.

    If Eircom failed your line it probably won't work with any other ISP, but weird things have been known to happen so have you tried ordering through netsource or IOL broadband?

    Again, this probably will not make any difference as the line test should technically be the same, though you never know you might be lucky.

    ive tested with netsource and failed the test as they use eircom exchanges, as I stated before eircom passed me the first time and failed me the 5 days later, the only one I ever passed is esats, but i feel that im being excluded from gettin the VIA product basically because eircom cant be arsed to upgrade my line

    I wouldnt goto eircom now if they paid me, I want answers basically to the following

    1) i received no explanation as to why my line failed, just its failed bye bye

    2) if it has failed what is eircom going to do to rectify the situation in waterford which has an enabled exchange, no point in having one if you cant get it, viewmount has approximate 1500 people living in it and if my line failed you can be damn sure everyone elses will as well

    I dont want eirom i want via but in order to get answers i gotta go to eircom, hence why im asking about comreg

    Don't take no for an answer. Tell them that your line passed the test 5 days ago as it did. If they can't work it out, ask for a supervisor, have them do a manual test by an engineer. Again, don't take "can't be arsed" for an answer.
