Whats a good approach to take if I wanted to start learning .net and .asp. Are their any courses I can do? My experience thus far has been VBA/VB/ASP and MSQL. Whats a good book that takes me through the basics and beyond.

Understanding the .NET Framework from Wrox is worth a read. There are a number of typos in the text but the information is sound. Its a great primer to see if you want to go any further with .NET.

I'd also recommend learning C#. Its not that difficult but will open up many more code examples to you and teach you full object oriented programming, not the watered down version that comes with vb.
