All the one's recommended in the other thread are pretty cool. Man you have got to hurry up and watch Goodfellas :)
Plus one of my fave films of all time which wasn't mentioned by anybody !!!

True Romance...I've seen it at least 10 times and I never ever get sick of watching it. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish.

I saw 'Road to Perdition' the other day and I was not very impressed, it was billed as "the greatest mafia film since the Godfather". Me @rse. and it was only 1 3/4 hours long, too short for a story like that imo.

I was reading Empire and they had an article with the director of "City of God" and they were saying how it has now become one of their favourite gangster films. However the idea of haveing a gangster film set in Brazil seemed all wrong in my eyes and as such i enver watched. My question is: Is City of God -good/bad/ugly?

Married to the Mob with Michelle Pfeiffer and Oscar with Sly Stallone are oft ignored when people talk about gangster movies.

They are both true modern day classics.

I was surprised the academy snubbed them so.
