Just got this in an email. Can't find anything on Securicor's site, or on any breaking news sites, so I can't confirm.
Just thought you would like to know that Securicor have a strike planned for this Friday and all over the bank holiday weekend which means that none of the cash machines will be refilled until Tuesday so any money you are going to need for the bank holiday weekend you should probably take out during the week if you can.
If its a stupid email hoax, then I apologise.

    Can anyone confirm?

    - Dave.

    It's a hoax.

I called securicor who referred me to a PR company. The PR company has the job of stamping out the rumour.
