    252 testing with RTÉ Radio 1

      252 kHz is live with RTÉ Radio 1 right now, Tuesday afternoon.

      Here in London the signal is coming in strong enough, however you can hear Radio Algeria coming in on the background.

      Here's to a full time RTÉ service on LW soon!

      Is this still going on? I would hope that this maybe a pre-cursor to an RTE UK TV channel soon. If they can get their act together to do a radio service, then perhaps, a TV channel isn't far behind.

      Nope, nothing testing at present.

      There are plans for the duration of the special olympics to have an opt-out service of Radio 1 there.

      Sorry for bumping a 20yo thread but it's anoraky to highlight that RTE Radio 1 ceased on 252 exactly 20 years to the day it was first heard on the frequency. Coincidence ???
