What sort of stuff do you want to play?

Get a cheap accoustic guitar and start with that and see how you like it before spending large ammounts of money on it.

Lessons are probably a good idea if you can find a good teacher.

I teach beginning guitar. Studio in fairview. 15 euro for 1/2 hour private lesson. I have a couple of guitars for sale as well but might be too expensive for a first guitar. If interested contact me on petersl@eircom.net or 085 737 2333.

start off cheap learn all the basics {ie names of different parts of guitar, notes, tuning}The most important thing is buy a tuner and get your ear in to how the guitar should sound,Then if you have trouble get a teacher but everyone i know thought themselves .And when you learn something the hard way you never forget./? Waltons sell nice starting models and start acoustic less can go wrong:p
