    From The Register :
BT Wholesale is trying to make life easier for its unpaid army of volunteers who are trying to muster enough support to get their local exchange converted to ADSL.

The BT campaign assistance info is here.

This "campaign support" is just a side show excuse to delay deployment. Will eircom be next to try it?

DSL is available on demand virtually everywhere you go in Europe in 2003 - Ireland and GB aside.

Even Swisscom have given up on updating their availability map since late last year. The few white areas remaining are mostly uninhabited at 2000M+ altitude.
