    1. Who was the orginal actor of the first series star trek who played the captain (It may have be some one other then captain kirk or just a different actor in that role?)

    2. How does Star Trek TNG start?

    3. Was their a link between Voyager and Deep Space 9? (Like the link between Star Trek TNG and Deep Space 9).

    4. When do they meet the Klingons?

    5. When do they meet the guys that resemble valcus but are the bad guys fighting the Federation (Not a huge star trek fan)

    6. How does Q introduce the Bjork(sp, not the singer) to Jean Luke Picard?

    7. Will there be a movie about Vogager, Deep Space 9 or Enterprice or will the TNG get another outting?

    8. Was There a Movie out during the run of TNG?

    4. Lt. Warf is a Clingon (sp)

    6. Borgs sorry nothing like Bjork. lol

Elmo, irishman_abroad knows who Klingons are, he asked "who they?" as in who was introduced to the klingons.. that was not specified. Obviously it was Captain Archer on the first Enterprise (series on now).

AS for The borg... Q sent them off light years away.. it would take i think it was 2 years + to get back.. they came across the Borg then and Guinan knew about them.. great ep!

actually Q deliberatly threw them in the path of a Borg vessle, forget why O_o ... prolly a test or something.

The Bjork thing was more of a "dont be so smug in your safe little alpha quadrant, you dont know whats out there" lesson

Don't know the actors name, but the first Captain was Captain Hunt (I think his first name was Dillon). He wasn't in the first series as a whole, just the original pilot episode. Later on they edited the original, failed, pilot into an episode in the series proper.

His reason was something like "You are not ready fo what lies out there, you have no idea what lies out there at all. Up till now you have dealt with Klingons and Romulans... and so on etc etc... he showed them the Borg and that gave us some of the best story lines in Startrek!

On another note. Someone told me Enterprise will feature the Borg? is this true? sounds a bit far fetched but then Enterprise is pretty poor.. though Mondays ep was pretty ok.

Yeah I heard that too but it would kinda fcuk up the timeline a bit wouldnt it?

I think the borg thing was when Q wanted to join the crew or something he was trying to convince picard and riker that they were unprepared for what was out there. Picard pretty much told him his services were not required and Q then hurled them into the delta quadrant and said you think you can deal with it then deal with it and there they were in front of a borg cube. In the end picard had to bite the bullet and ask Q to help them escape which was Q wanted of course.

the original pilot was set 4 years before Kirk took command and was captained by Captain Pike and was called "The Menagerie"
when the proper series came out we had a new doctor "Bones" but they kept the science officer "Spock" and then in a future 2 part episode called "The Cage" it had a paralysed disfigured Pike at the trial of Spock for disobeying Federation law by going to the planet in The menagerie which was shown as recalled memories on a viewer

"Pike"! Of course, why was I thinking "Hunt"? In the two parter though, the events of the pilot where not being retold as memories. Pike was in bits, so Spock went against Starfleet orders to bring him to that planet where they had the power to give him an able body (as long as he stayed there). Most of the edited bits from the pilot where actually supposed to be happening in "The Cage", i.e. not just memories from the pilot.

    Dillon Hunt => Andromeda

    Dillon Hunt => Andromeda
Yeah, I knew that, but for some reason I've always thought that the name was recycled from another Roddenbury (sp?) creation. I don't know why I thought it was the Star Trek pilot, as I recognised the name "Pike" as soon as I read it. Was there a "Hunt" in "Earth: Final conflict" by any chance?

There was a Captain Robert April in there somewhere as well I think. He was the first Captain IIRC

oh you half arsed trekys you lol j/k:D

the first captian of the enterprise ncc-1701 was captian pike

tng started with farpoint a mission where q first appered to test humans

vovager set off on her first mission from ds 9

they meet the klingons just before the enterprise nx-01 was launched (to return a klingon to his homeworld)

the romulans where also meet around1 year after enterprise nx-01 was launched she was damaged by a romulan mine

q trows the enterpirse D around 300 light years away from fed space to meet the borg to show picard that he needed q,s help after picard wouldnt let q join the crew of the enterprise

star trek currently have no plans for a new movie till enterprises 7 year run ends

and yes their was a movie dureing tng the last tos movie which if you look closely has the same sets as the enterprise -D

their now im a treky all the way

Actually the failed pilot was called "th Cage" the two parter rehash was called "The Menagerie"

Captain April was the captain of the enterprise before Captain Pike. We never got to see him he was just mentioned.
    3. Was their a link between Voyager and Deep Space 9? (Like the link between Star Trek TNG and Deep Space 9).

There was In the First Episode of Voyager (Caretaker) Armin Shimmerman (Quark) guest starred

    1. is captian pike i think

    1. Captain Pike was shown in the pilot the cage, with a laughing spock (surprised well you should be) however i think captain robert april was the first captain of the u.s.s enterprise 1701 and comanded the first five year mission, then pike then kirk.

    2. yeah TNG starts with encounter at farpoint

    3. voyager is docked at DS9 in the first episode of voyager, called caretaker where we almost see harry kim get ripped of by quark (pure quality) and tom paris saves him. DS9 was starting its third season i think when voyager got of the ground.

    4. yeah klingons in enterprise first episode Broken Bow which is the town in oklahoma where the klingon ship crash landed i think

    5. the romulan one is a tricky question as someone mentioned there is the episode of enterprise in which they are in it, however at some stage there is meant to be an earth/federation (i'm not sure which) which IIRC correctly was fought with nukes? after which the treaty of algeron was signed which set up the federation/romulan neutral zone a band of space which neither group can enter, the treaty also forbade the federation from using cloaking technology, the known exceptions to which are the star trek except known as the pegasus which had a kinda rogue former commander of will riker and also the fact that the defiant can use a cloak supplied by the romulans but only in the gamma quadrant i think.

    6. The borg are introduced to Picard via Q in what i think is a second season episode of TNG called Q Who IIRC, the link to enterprise and the borg i believe is from the film first contact when debris i think from the borg sphere that was destroyed by the enterprise E is located or something along those lines

    7. IIRC there were movies out during TNG but they where the of the original series, i think (someone correct me here if i'm wrong) that TNG started airing around end of 1987, the film star trek 5 was then realised i think in 89 and then star trek 6 in 91.
