Just noticed that Ftn are now showing the Tonight Show at 9pm (channel 256 on Sky Digital). The episodes they are showing are the from the previous day in the US.

I sure someone will appreciate this :)

Does Jay Leno still air on CNBC?

    Yes, at the weekends.

Cool, I was wondering when Ftn were starting to show Leno!

Cant' say I like Leno much. I remember his show during the days of NBC Superchannel!

I would like ITV2 so I could see David Letterman, see if the show all it's cracked up to be... :)

I watch Jay Leno and Conan O Brien most weekends on CNBC, and I would say I prefer Conan.

    :D

Conan is on at 00:35 in the US - Leno is on at 23:35. I think it's more a case of how many people are still awake by the time Conan starts.

on CNBC (Saturday and Sunday nights), Leno is shown at 8.30 pm, then Conan at 9.00 pm then another Leno at 9.30 pm, then another Conan show at 9.30pm - i.e. two hours of Jay and Conan.

All of them are shows that were shown a few days earlier in the US.

I often wondered about airing times for TV shows in the States. Do they stagger them across the continent, so each time zone gets to see, for example, Letterman at midnight in their area? And the same for programs like the Sopranos, do the Californians and Hawaiians have to wait the extra few hours to see that nail-biting finale, or is it shown at 4 in the afternoon?

Shown at the same time, with annoucements for other time zones, but doesn't apply to everything.

That'll do nicely for a laugh.

Then why when they were doing the live episode of ER a few years ago, they had to do it twice - one for the east coast and then one for west coast a few hours later?
