A nice lady at Eircom has told that my line has passed the DSL test and I can have broadband subject to a site survey.

I've had a couple of sleepless nights since this discussion worrying about the survey!

    Should I be afraid?

The only time I've ever heard of site surveys with Eircom's DSL is if you're buying a router and/or firewall from Eircom net and are getting it installed by them.

    Mr Chill. Don't worry.

eircom charge a standard installation fee which covers bits and pieces. Unless your phone line from the main entry point to your PC is fecked and 2 miles long then you should be OK.

    Thank you mrgills.

I'll sleep better tonight and maybe call Eircom tomorrow. You couldn't fit 2 miles of phone line in my little flat :D
