I remember about 6 years ago a mate attended and could see it from the open day. The classes were way too big and the space was really cramped. Dont know what its like now.

Both. You move around a bit during the year and depending on your needs you'll find yourself in bigger or smaller areas. The smallest you'll get is 2 wall-board spaces (if you're familar with the walls) and a full desk which isn't going to win prizes but has been fine for everyones needs so far. (you're not confined to your space though. Space is wherever you want it)
The spaces tend to be on top of eachother a bit so it can be cramped at times in that respect. The only problem that comes from that is if you want to sort work on the floor.
Class sizes...... there's 6 groups of about 20students with 2 tutors per group. The year occupies the entire first floor and part of the ground floor.
