Powerbook and quake

    Ok,
The only stumbling block between a new powerbook/powermac and a 23" display here in the office is the performance (or not) of Quake. Original Quake. Quake 1.
Has anyone any Quake 1 experience on a modern Mac and what about LAN'ing this off a MS SBS2000 server. Like I assume that the Macs and windows machines will do all the office bullshít that they are supposed to do but my boss says it's pointless shelling out on this thing if he can't play Quake on it (against windows quakers).

QII works fine on it but I wouldn't know about Q1

Any of the current line Macs will play Quake III like a dream. As a bonus, if you are playing on-line the servers will see no diference between a PC Quaker and a Mac Quaker.
