just installed XP but i need to format my hard drive having some weird problems but cant seem to get a command promt to come up so i can format! does anybody know how i can format my drive?

Boot from xp cdrom, follow instructions. When prompted to choose partition to install, delete all available partitions. Then select the unformatted area and click install. XP will then ask you to format it in the file system of your choice (I'd recommend NTFS)
