Their article on the new Eircom entry level DSL has been Corrected .

Yesterday, ENN told us it was a 'Guaranteed 512k' , now they have corrected that and say 'Up To 512k'

    Good one Ralph and Matthew.

The only problem is that your downstream feed, The Register, are still putting the Incorrect version out.....see Here . Could you get this fixed as well while ye are on the case.

On RTE's web site in the OnBusiness section, see here, they say:
Cathal McGee of Eircom Retail said there were three main features of the new product. He said it was price at a flat rate, giving unlimited usage; it was 10 to 20 times faster than a normal telephone line and four times faster than an ISDN line
So there's no cap then? And all ISDN lines seems to operate at 128kbit?! I'm sure the normal telephone lines he's on about giving 25.6kbit will pass the ADSL line test.

I am appauled at the laziness of the peace of juurnalism, eircom effectivelt got 2 mins of free advertising, not ONE question was asked.

Any 2 bit decent journalist will have the details in front of them and ask Mr. Pimp questions about the product.

The journo on the linked RTÉ web page is Tánaiste Mary Harney's sister Geraldine. I'll accept the '2 bit' portion of your comment Truckle. George Lee would have made a '1 Bit job of it, at least Geraldine is on message and includes VAT.....a start.
