I've been having this sort of problem when i'm watching dvds on my TV. The sound quality is good but its really hard to hear voices. All u can really hear are loud sound affect and music u can try raising it up but that doesn't really help and then the other noises are really noisy and can probably be heard next door. When i watch dvds on the pc i don't really find it hard to hear voices. So i'm wondering is it a better dvd player i nead or better wiring that i need.

    what is your sound setup?

sounds like you are only getting the surrond volume and the center channel is lower. the center channel is the one with the (most) dialog/voices

Aye, change the sound output on the DVD player to stereo, see if that helps.
