Right, I gotta write up a design doc (/me has been living in an ivory tower for a while :p) and I was wondering what constitutes a good design document. Normally I wouldn't make such fuss over bothersome documentation ;) and would hack away straight to code but as this work I'm doin is to be viewed by a cto of a certain company so sadly I'd like to impress! Opinions please! :)

Lots of Microsoft default clip art is always sure to impress :)

As an aside from the actual contents, Latex is an excellent document processing system that produces very nice looking docs. Can get it for windows too, miktex.

Supports nicely formating code, pictures and such.

Yup mix that in with LyX - the only word processor you'll ever need! :)
