    Hey -- I'm new here :)

I live in Leixlip, Kildare (few miles from Dublin, just outside) and I've been searching ISP sites today. Found a few good 1s but most seem to be only available in certain parts of Dublin. Can anyone recommend any 1s for me here?

Yo i live in leixlip too!
I've asked the same queston myself. if u were lookin at the ntl cable broadband then no its not available here i checked. I don't know about any of the rest but i'm gonna try and get i-stream now that its been reduced in price a bit. I'm hearing a lot of mixed stories about whether or not its available in leixlip yet some say it is, others say it will d in a few months, over the summer so i guess the best thing would b to just ring the companies yur self and find out.

And let me know wen u do:cool:

Emailed NTL and they told me they won't have broadband in the area for at least 6 months, so that's out.

I-stream seems my best choice now. Thinking about getting that, and my line seems ok for it.

Psyche take any thing NTL say with a truck load of salt.
they started doing adds for cable modems back in 1998
yea that’s right 1998. 5 years later how many people they have?
less than 2000 customers. They say 6 months for ever thing
bet if you asked when they will have the moon set-up with cable
they would tell you "we will have cable on the
    moon in 6 months"

i would say that Eircom RDSL would be your best bet
i don't know if they have it setup in Leixlip yet.
do you know where your local telephone exchange is ?
if your not too far away from it you should be able to get it if
    it's avablie.

fairly sure Esat have nothing around your area.

    NTL my guess =2025

    Other option
if your too far for DSL then it's ISDN and in the next few months
some of the isp's will be selling flat rate dialup.
it's not broadband but good ping for games and a bit faster than 56K.
