Can anyone tell me why RTE have their best program on so late on Thursday? Surley a program as good as this would warrant a better timeslot (definitely better than some of the rubbish they put out on primetime at the moment)

I agree, it is probably the best drama show on TV. The same thing happened on Channel 4. They recently moved it from a prime time 9pm Saturday night slot to late on a Monday due to poor ratings.

It looks like it is not as popular as it should be.

I think its a program that doesnt appeal to everyone out there. RTE and C$ both recognise that....on E4 it used to be on at a decent hour i think at 9pm and repeated at 11pm (then again around 1 or 2 am)
I think its class and come on we are all adults... not really past our bedtimes now is it??
maybe im going to bed too late.

Did you notice that RTE screwed up the sequencing of the episodes recently. They showed episode 10 after episode 8, and then showed episode 9 the following week, after cutting out a few scenes to hide their mistake.

    Doh!

But it's still the best show on TV (since the Sopranos has finished).

Maybe it's too highbrow for primetime?

RTE are always bumping decent TV shows to the arse end of the schedules. FFS they have X-It File on before it!

Used to always mess with the X-Files (back when it was good) which can be a bitch if you've set your video before going away for a couple of weeks.

And its usually utter sh**e that they give preference to.

Putting on the West Wing at around 11.30 pm is a disgrace. If TV3 had this programme - do you think that they would put it on so late?

RTE scheduuling is absolutely crazy. Ah - Isn't Fair City only great.

West wing is boring. Go watch Oz.

I think the reason the West Wing is on when it is is because even if they had it earlier i doubt there would be an increase in the viewing figures. Fair City is one of RTEs biggest audience pullers anywhy so there not gonna give that up. Go watch Oz, TG4 @ 11:25
