Ye all should remember this show,

Maxwell Smart and co were invented to take the piss out of all the spy shows of the day,
mission impossible, man from uncle, the avengers, even bond.

for some reason i was walking down a hall the other day with a couple of double doors and i started humming the theme tune out of fukin no where!

can anyone point me in the direction of such a theme song, possibly even a ring tone....

    cheers!

Didnt mel brooks write for the show before breaking into movies?

Good show,Set the template for Police Squad some decade and a half later.

Also love Phil Silvers Sgt Bilko, and Car 54 where are you featuring Fred Gwyne better known as Lurch from the Adamms Family.

    >>>EDIT Ooops,Fred Gwyne played Herman in the Munsters not Lurch.

I failed badly trying to get some people to remember that show, "all the doors at the start" "the phone in his shoe, that he had to dial" and so on and so forth.

I must say thank you. I had actually forgotten all about Get Smart. It was reaaly good.
As for Police Squad, I was switching thru the channels the other night and came across an episode of it. I was happy. Leslie Nielsen is a fukin genius.

There's one corridor in UL that I always seem to hum the theme tune as I go through it (lots of double doors). People probably think I'm nuts but my own friends think that anyway.

I loved "Get Smart"... still ranks as one of the funniest TV shows of all time IMO... a TV movie "Get Samrter?" was amde a few years back... a pale shadow of the great TV show...
