The USN are also using seals for harbour security.

I guess this is the same as training dogs sniff out land mines. I wonder how successful they are. I remember hearing somewhere during the Balkands mine cleaning operations they didn't lose one dog.

Tell me yous have all seen that National Geographic episode!!!!

They cover, Seals, Dolphins and even whales! Artic and Killer, they have animals for all kinds of conditions.

Well worth an hour of your viewing time imo.

It is actually nuts how well trained they are and how well they follow orders and know exactly what to do.

These were apparently used in Vietnam... of course all claims were denied, some claim they were trained with a cup on their nose and they would be trained to play hit n Run, on the end of the cup was a needle which supposedly contained C4, the dolphins would hit and run, the viet cong always caused a rucuss with their long range divers, who could hold their breath for silly amounts of time.
