I really don't know. I have to admire Eastenders for not leaking the story or pics to any of the newspapers (compared to Corrie where we knew Richards fate weeks before it happened).

I haven't see Enders in a week argh!
But I don't think he killed her, I reckon it was more like a struggle to get Louise, and Lisa lost her footing and plunged to her death over that cliff.

Has to be something stupid like that!

Although I think Phil will go down for something (manslaugter maybe?) because the actor who plays him is leaving for a year, and you wouldn't get off a murder sentence after serving one year I think.

I have a feeling that he will admit that he bought the baby off Lisa. Paid her to give the baby back - she heads off to spend the money and is too ashamed to tell anyone or contact anyone.

According to something I heard on the radio, all will be revealed in 2 special 'flashback' episodes during which Phil "confesses" the events to his new girlfriend. The first of these episodes is tonight (BBC One and RTÉ 1).

As someone who watches very little television at all, and Eastenders being one of the few things I would actually occasionally (and only occasionally - not religiously) sit down to watch , I am encouraged by the gradual improvement in quality of acting and story writing for the soap. I have to agree that the BBC have done a good job of keeping the public guessing, unlike the story of the grisly demise of Richard Hillman on Coronation Street, which was public knowledge through the tabloids months in advance.

That doesn't explain how they'll write him out for a year though, really?

Did anyone see tonights episode, If so what happened?

Phil chases Lisa in the car. She gets a flat tire. Runs out of the car with Phil following her. She runs to the end of the cliff all flustered (as Lisa does  ). Phil says "Lisa give me the baby... GIVE ME THE BABY". Lisa backs back towards the cliff and...

dum dum dum de dum de di di da na na na na na num

(my attempt at the theme tune :D )

I reckon Phil will try and grab Louise and they stuggle and Lisa falls off the cliff. Phil probably just leaves her there and returns to Walford. He will probably get done for that. I dunno......

Yeah, I reckon there's a struggle at the cliff, she looses her footing and he goes down for manslaughter and serves a year or whatever length of time his break is for. It's the conclusion that makes most sense to me anyway. Can't wait to see it tomorrow night though, oooh the suspense!!!:D

We know where the blood will come from now, because Lisa has a nosebleed from bumping into a tree. Probably she falls off, phil tries to save her, and ends up with the blood on his cat.

Lisa smashing into that tree and busting her nose up was class imho, i lol`ed at that.

The acting is the usual high standard we expect from Eastenders.

The camera angles also add to the suspense(swooping over head shot on the cliff)

I reckon he kills her though maybe with some slappy slappy in the "baby" struggle.

One of the girls here at work reckons that Lisa actually comes back into it!!! Dunno how true that is but now I'm so confused!!! LMAO

The ending was just ludicrous. I presume they want to bring back Lisa for some kind of kidnapping story or custody story or something. But after 2 or 3 months of setup, the flashback was a huge disappointment overall.

And did they get some special indie cameraman or director involved? The closeups were bordering on the ridiculous. I presume it was to help build tension, but it didn't work.

Yeah, after all the tension they built up between Tuesday and Thursday as to whether Lisa would fall off, or whether Phil would push her, it ends up with neither, as they irrelevantly retire to a suitably delapidated cottage.

The rest of the episode was singularly boring as they just panned alternately to close-ups of Phil, Lisa, Louise and a wad of €100 notes (trying to soften the British public for a referendum?). I wonder if that really is the end, or whether tonights episode will reveal more...?

Maybe it was a homage to the Spagetti western... :)

Slightly pissed-off two episodes managed to resolve nothing at all, but thats soaps for you.

Maybe this is wrong but a pal told me he read in the "SUN" or some paper that Phil, as ye probably guessed by now didn't kill Lisa, she feel off the cliff after handing over the kid and walking around in a mad daze. Phil got the baby and he was well gone.

The cops find the body (Yes, Lisa is dead.... according to the paper) so Phil gets done for it. He isn't coming back to Eastenders AFAIK cos he gets life imprisonment.

Like I say i could be wrong, at least Eastenders managed to keep this quite unlike the killing in Fair City or the whole Richard story in Corrie.

I actually tuned into it by mistake and was in bits lmao by the end. watched all of the next ep (first for me for FC). Never watched it before or after that. How did that turn out btw?

Was the last of the Eastenders flashback where Lisa (OMG, she acts as bad as she looks, also - what was with those horrible shifty close-ups??) drops to the money?

Have to say, the actor who played the undercover cop was fantastic. She acted brilliantly for that. Far superior to her roles in Coronation Street and, lol, Byker Grove!

    It is what it's.

Well perhaps that happens, but a year later the truth comes out for some reason and he gets released, because I was deffo under the impression that he returns in a year.

And talking of Corrie, they've gone absurdly too far down the 'innocent imprisonment' line with Len Battersby - it's the third such case in as many years, following Deirdre Barlow and Aden Critchley. If they don't stop insulting the British legal system in that manner people will stop watching.

Thats Les, and he deserves a stretch inside! Its worth remembering there are only seven storys in all fiction (according to someone or other) so they just keep re-writing them...

I presume you are refering to the Billy Mehan murder. I'm talking about the new one due to happen, where violent husband Marty strangles wife Tess to death. They have had it slashed all over the papers and Guide for ages. Why can't they keep the storylines quite anymore.

Seeing that ya asked bout the whole Billy murder in Fair City, what happened is Leo got done for it, but will he was in prison the young lad (can't think of his name) felt guilty and confessed. Leo is out, and wants to sue the lads mother for all the trouble she caused him..... story for another day.

    Long live the soaps. HAHAHA.

And of course they are gonna keep repeating old story lines, thats soaps for ya. keep in mind its all only fiction. It helps boast the rating when the re-introduce a few nitty gritty stories once in awhile... ok, I will admit the whole Corrie story with Les is a bit OTT.
