New Simpsons Episode On Sky1 - What You Think?

I know that The Simpsons was under fire recently in these forums for being boring...

But I think that last nights new episode on SkyOne was one of the better episodes created in recent times, mostly for the reason that I didnt have any old clips which had been plaquing previous episodes .

What did yee all think of it?

I thought it was fairly good.Some of the episodes this seres have been better and others have been drastically worse.It was a 6 or 7 out of 10 episode last night.It had some great lines

Homer(voicing Lisa)-McNuggets!Mmmmmmmmmm Mc Nuggets.
And then Bart interupts,funny sh1t

I didnt bother watching it. to be honest i couldnt be @rsed anymore. My bro saw it, said it was one of the worst episodes he's ever seen. The jokes are so predictable, so un-side-splittingly poor recently that I find it difficult to even force a smile.

I actually missed it. I'd be meaning to watch it but keep forgeting. What was it about? Also i see the 300th episode is coming up soon so thats should be a good one!!

I liked it. Actually had me laughing out loud a few times, which is not something that happens that often with the simpsons anymore for me im afraid

Probably the best episode I've seen this series...

There were, whether you care to admit it or not, some "LOL" jokes in there. But once again, the story wasn't up to too much - it seems as though the Simpsons is now playing for the slapstick South Park-esque audience.

Its nowhere near as good as it used to be and is unlikely to get any better.

Cancel it, stopping showing it everyday twice a day.

Family Guy was cancelled so somehow I'll doubt you'll see any new episodes appearing for it :rolleyes:

The simpsons sucks. Either the writers ran out of ideas or they were replaced. Back in the old days of it, the simpsons was hilarious. Now it's just crappy sex jokes that aren't funny at all, e.g. "Anyone for penis?" as said by Homer in a more recent episode.

Another sub-par episode tonight.

The only funny line was Lenny talking about the autograph he scored: "This is going right on e-bay, I mean MY WALL! ..... (which I will then sell on Ebay)."

When will the show learn that eps featuring guest stars playing themselves are just plain annoying?

i don't like watching simspons anymore for one reason only

1. homer humor use to be witty and really really funny but now it's just bland.

example of funny humor:
Marge: have you noticed anything strange about bart recentely?
Homer: probaly misses his old glasses.

*Can't remember rest*

Homer: then we get the chair.
Marge: homey that wasn't what i meant.
Homer: yes it was marge admit it

now thats funny but the new homer just sucks and anything they try to make him funny i just cough and splutter out a sarcastic ha!

And yea, tonights one wasnt the worst ever, but it was still crapy compared to those^ standards :]

many things can beat the simpsons these days. family guy for one. malcolm in the middle for two. scrubs for three.
did ye see the new episode with Flanders getting it on with the famous actress? It was rubbish, apart from the odd lol moment. That can be said for every episode made in recent years.
Can any of the last 20 episodes compare with the Frank Grimes one? Not a hope.
