Does anyone remember this show. I thought it kicked serious ass - ah the memories of me on a Friday afternoon screaming at apparantly stupid kids doing things, I could do right - the perfect armchair participant that I was :)

http://www.knightmare.clara.net/ - seems someone else liked the show as much as I did ;)

I remember the show well. It seems almost bizarre, looking back, that I gazed in awe at their 'realtime special effects'. I do remember thinking at the time that "One day all computer games will look this good".

I think the helmet that made the player 'blind' was specifically designed to make them look a prick. :p

The kids were - invariably - completely sh*te though weren't they? I too remember bellowing at the little cretins as they fouled up simple tests.

totally agree - I remember vividly one question where the answer was Dawn - I think the question was

"The maiden's name who rises in the morning" - or something like that

I nearly burst a vessel screaming at them - they still got it wrong :)

On a side note Challenge TV is showing the entire series on Saturday mornings :)

Dammit! I don't have challenge TV (crappy Chorus  ).

Still, I reckon I could do a more effect-laden version myself these days with a second hand camcorder and an All-In-Wonder! ;)

I used to be gripped by fear watching that show, when the goblin horn went off youd **** a brick.

I've watched this a few times on challenge. It was a great show of it's time using "State of the art computer graphics" The series with the eye shield was the best imo:)

    great show,

but were the punters who went on it a bit simple, surely it couldnt have been as hard as it looked ?

shouting right right right when a large axe was plainly on their right mystified me

I wanted to be on that show so bad it hurt, but of course I'd have to be the guy in the mask. I was scared though that I might fall into a hole or walk off one of those rooms where there was only half a floor or something. I wish I had Challenge, oh the memories it would bring back.

well the good news is that there is a company looking to re-design and produce a new series of the show - using 'state-of-the-art' graphics.

if that rumour is true, I am literally wetting myself (but not because of the new show - i have a medical problem...hehehehe)

I mentioned this on another thread months ago!
I loved that show - genius!
We used to some home from doing the shopping with my mum and we'd settle down with apple juice and chocolate in front of the telly, great, happy days!
My sis was really scared of the show though and she used to try and make me turn it off

    :)

Ah remember it well. Used to look forward to it on Friday evenings after school!

Might take a nostalgic look at Challenge some Saturday (if I'm awake early enough)!

    Heres a good Knightmare Site : http://www.knightmare.clara.net/

The author has screengrabbed all the episodes and extensively logged everything that went on in each of them.
