There are currently, about two billion people living without living without easy access to water and sanitation and the United Nations has set a targe to half this number by the year 2015.

An admirable target. I think, that one way to help people in the poorest countries around the world to be able to provide their own sanitation and water, is to simply relieve the huge griding interest on debts that these countries live under.

Debt relief implies the money used to pay the debt, can be used to develop the infrastructure of the poorest countries, thus, improving a lexicon of services like access to water and basic sanitation, not to mention the ability to fight famine and build more prosperous societies.
