No claims query

Got my insurance renewal quote in last night and not happy. Last year a window in the car was smashed and a bag stolen from the car. First thing I did was to ring the insurance company and ask if claiming for the glass would affect my no claims and I was told no, send in the claim and it wont affect your no claims.

Sure enough on my renewal no claims certificate it says one years no claims discount instead of two (which it should be). Rang the insurance company last night and they said that my no claims discount has gone from 20% last year to 30% this year but they have to list the glass as a claim, so while the have increased the discount they have made it very difficult for me to get a quote elsewhere with only one years no claims.

Has anyone heard of this before or once again are the insurance company taking the píss?
