An online report on the BBC web site about how the American army employ the use of loud speakers by their psychological operations units describes how AC/DC music was used to defeat the Panama dictator Manuel Noriega back in 1989.

Well, one thing's for certain. Given all the military hardware the US are going to unleash on Iraq, you can be sure that the Iraqi's are going to be, ahem, Thunderstruck! (sorry folks, I couldn't resist it! :D)

well its begun, America has decided to Ride On with the war. Bet saddam will be thinking they Shook Me All Night Long, though I hope he hears the bells, Hells Bells of course.

Well he better Shake a Leg if he wants to survive, cos Bush wants First Blood. Id give anything to be a Fly on the Wall in one of the troop camps, to hear how the guys are getting ready to head into Sin City.

might be the same think but i heard that during some siege where some guy took some people hostage they played really loud music the whole time they were locked up, it didn't actually get him out but its supposed to increase mental fatigue. i think its now standard procedure for when negotiators are dealing with not-so-trigger-happy, but still stuborn hostage takers
