    I'm planning to travel once i get my degree in programming and at the moment the down under seems like the best option.

    As far away as possible and all that :)

    I intend to stay abroad for at least a year, if not more.
    I've been abroad to a good few countries before but always with family so it'll be a bit of a change for me.

    Any advice?

    Get a VISA and try to convince a friend to go with you?

    My brother had planned to go to Aus for a year, he went over to a few mates over there. there was a few of them,
    He returned after 6/7 months because he said there was _no_ jobs at all, and they were very racist about giving jobs to non aus people.
    He was also with a few job agencys, but when a job did come up(labouring a fair bit) it was only for 2/3 days dring the week and there was a lot of travel, but he said the money they paid was great per hour - pitty it didn't last all week. But he really did enjoy the holiday, he said it was good to fish over there and quality rods were very cheap. He is into F1 so he was there at the right time to have such an experience.
    That is all I can say as thats all he told me(We don't get on very well :P)
