This must be another case of Archer not documenting his findings....Enterprise D was the first to encounter the Borg? Or was it the Raven?

    Edit:
The only good tribble... is a dead tribble.

/me sticks on the spock ears

Well we're told the Raven conducted studies of the borg, but they knew about them b4 they set out so obviously Star Fleet must have had some knowledge of their existance, its all very scetchy, we know from ST 7 that the Enterprise B saved some of the passangers from 2 El-Aurian transports who were fleeing the Borg, its hard to imagine that after they were rescued by the federation that they wouldn't tell them of this threat!!

Well we all know the real reason.

Enterprise is Berman/Braga's way of erasing Roddenberrys legacy and making star trek their own.

Continuity Person: But the Borg were first discovered by the Enterprise D, you've already wrecked it with the raven storyline, now you're just taking the piss.

Berman: Yes. But the sweeps are coming up.

Sounds like the Borg will be used to grab more viewers for Enterprise the same way they were used in Vovager.

I have to say I was disappointed when I heard Enterprise was going to be set in the past (relatively speaking).

Bringing the Borg into Enterprise already shows signs of desperation...Wasn't it season 3/4 of Voyager?

I really like the whole temporal cold war thing. Also, I'd like to see more Klingons / Nausicans

Agreed, for that time in Trek-history, the Klingons should be the 'major' opponents for the forming Homo-Sapiens/Vulcan axis.

Well id say it would be a good epp. But when i read about it the other day I started to fear for the furture of trek! If they are resorting to rehashing thing done before than the ratings must be in trouble! I heard they wernt great but now im starting to worry! And i wonder whats next Data being in an epp....

    Only time will tell..

The last film dident do too well either

its kinda mocks sense in fairness, borg from the 24th century, enhancing a 21st century ship vs enterprise... oh come on they fire projectiles ffs :)

How can the Borg be in Enterprise they werent documented in the Federation until Q sent the D' to them. So unless Enterprise finds them and then gets completely wiped out of all history, it makes a joke of the whole thing!

    Awwwww Wolf 359!!

My guess is that the borgs' circuits are a bit fried in the crash so they don't know who they are. I imagine they'll just be treated as dangerous cyborgs (and Archer and co. won't know any better).

They've kinda been stomping all over the existing timeline. In fairness, there was a lot of dubious statements made in the original series that they've had to correct, but Enterprise basically violates the entire pre-history of the federation. Maybe this temporal cold war thing will result in restoration of the timeline to the one we know.......

The Raven was the first to discover them, but if you recall, it wasn't an official StarFleet ship, and the Borg were simply considered a rumour, and hadn't been encountered before. Since the Raven never managed to get back to StarFleet, then's it's fair to say that the Enterprise D was the first to encounter them, as far as StarFleet knew. :)

Well lets just hope that the borg win this time and ENTERPISE the series comes to a sudden halt and the money gets spent on something decent.
Go back to Quantum Leap I say.....

Rodenberry would prefer to let sleeping dogs lie that have tripe like ENTERPRISE disease the airwaves. Its un original boring and has no character.

On the borg, we don't know how they really got started what was the big bang is this man and machine got TOO close.
This would be worth a movie on its own. Forget about federation dummies running around. Start as in Star Wars a log time ago in a galaxy far far away.

That movie with the right man behind the cam could rock and revise the film set. Which is looking very poor at present (steady decline on quality currently around rock bottem) into something though provoking.

And if the pointy ear droids need some FEDS use the plot idea from Jean Luc - lifetime in a day ep where he relived the experiences of a race while BEV moved the min flashlight over his bald cap.

If anyone in the movie biz wants me to co write just post away dude!
