I heard a snatch of an ad on the radio
from Meteor about some special offer they have where you get 120 Euro call credit when you sign up with them.

Can't find info on google or meteor site.

    Does anyone know ?
    Does anyone care :)

    Yup you heard right,

Basically call into any meteor store fill out a registration form and they'll give you a free sim-card buuuuuut heres the catch (theres always a fecking catch isn't there) you have to top up by €10 before you get your €120 credit and you only get the €120 in ecriments (don't know if i spelt that right) of €10 every month.

I switched to meteor last october and I must say i'm impressed. Most people claim the reception is crap but there is reception in all the major towns and cities and most of the roads connecting them e.g. if your driving from Cork to Dublin you'll have reception all the way. I even found that i have reception in places where i dont get reception with my o2 sim like when i'm up the galtees which is handy. Plus they're a feck load cheaper then o2 and vodafone especially if alot of yer mates are on meteor too.

I wouldn't bother with meteor. Yeah the offer might look great but their coverage isn't and if you want to take your sim card abroad you have to give them your credit card details.

You dont even have to do that with o2 or vodafone and you can top up with vodafone cards in countries where there is a vodafone network namely the UK and spain and wherever else they arel

Who said you had to throw away your old SIM card?
