    Hi,

I'm looking for a cheap ISDN host for a mail dialling line. Something that provides a 1891 number (5 minute bursts of connectivity) for about €100 to €150 per year. The line is just used to collect email from a multipop account about once every hour, a process that only takes about 3 or 4 minutes.

I have heard that UTVIP provide this service (and I'm about to leg off and have a look at their wares) but I was just wondering if anyone else had signed up for a service like this and what the best rate found out there has been so far.

I'm using Eircom.net subcription account for ISDN dial-up.

As far as I can recall cost is €180ish per annum.
Billed at a reduced rate (1891).

    Details on their website:

well, just found out that UTViP dont offer a 1891 service.

Single channel cost is 20.99 pm, at 1.8c per min (+30hrs off peak and weekend free).

    Esat:

    305 per year single channel
    430 per year dual
    1.6c per min.

off to have a look at eircoms offers...

any other providers out there that I'm missing?

    eircom are:

253 per year single channel, 1.6c per minute of call + a 5.2c call connection charge.

the other two didn't mention a call connection charge so I'm unsure what their rates are.

The current leader is UTViP with an all in
252€ +1.8c per min. the 30 hours free off peak and weekend tips the scales in favour of that one.. depends on their call connection charge.
