    Honeywell to axe 60 factory jobs

    More than 60 jobs are to go at a factory in Waterford, it emerged today.

    Honeywell, which makes parts for the airline industry, announced it was relocating its software operations to India due to high costs here.

    The US-based company said a total of 63 staff would be made redundant at the software division.

    Honeywell is one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of aircraft engines and components, and employs 115,000 people in 95 countries.
