After recently watching this, I was thinking it would be deadly to have an updated version where our friend takes the day off work.

Storylines? Plots? How do you think it should go?

    SAVE FERRIS

That'd be crap because remember the Principal says something like 'let these Kids see where Ferris is in 10 years time' (ie that he'd probably be flipping burgers or some job of that calibre) so I for one wouldn't want that to happen to him when he was so used to pulling one over the system. Likewise I wouldn't want to see him doing well in life either as he would have 'sold out' or whatever you'd like to call it.

It's a classic film, just leave it as it is.

Tho if you had to make a Hughes sequelt then I think I'd rather see a sequel to The Breakfast Club in which the detainees (like the predict) 'turn into their parents' and then have to deal with their own ****ty kids to show them the other side of the coin.

They tried to make a series but thankfully it was dropped after a few episodes! Different actors and poor story line....

    Is it not Yello?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,921 ✭✭✭✭Pigman II

It's called 'Oh Yeah' by Yello. But be aware that the version played during the movie is a different mix to the one during the credits at the the end so check which version you're going for.

Grab Yello's "The Race" as well. I can't remember where the tune was used in a movie or whatever but it sounds good.

"The Race" was used in the opening credits of "Nuns On The Run" if I remember correctly, sceptre.

Yeah, it's a good tune. That high-speed, hard-to-understand rapping the guy did was cool. Reminds me of "Scatman" by Scatman John and "One Week" by the Barenaked Ladies.

Come to think of it, there's another blast from the past (mid-90's methinks). Who remembers Scatman John? He had two hits and was never heard of again. He began "scatting" to get over a stutter he had, or something like that. Apparantly he died a few years ago. Sad really. I used to love the opening bit of "Scatman".....

    Scabadobeballadobbeeedidledidledidledidledidlebombomdededebom..... I'M THE SCATMAN!!!!!

    Ah memories. :D

    >>>edit apparently not.<<<

No scatman john was as aidan said a guy that started speed talking/rapping to get over a stutter he had.
There were rumours he had gone into a coma and died, but I think it was all bull in the end. Actually he might have been in a coma but he didnt die.
The only 2 songs I remember were Scatman and Scatmans World.

Yeah, "Scatman" and "Scatman's World" were the two hits he had (I could never remember the name of the second one, "Scatman's World"). However, it seems he has passed on, Makaveli. Check out these links:

Seems he died at 6.30 p.m. on Friday, 3rd December 1999. And his real name was John Larkin, apparantly.
