I'm trying remember the name of a line of toys I had when I was a kid that went as follows. Basically they were sci-fi military toys and they gimmick was that all the figures and vehicles had magnets on them. The 'good' guys were divided into marines and airforce and that baddies flew around in black triangluar spaceships that had little shuttles that could be docked onto them via the magnets. Also the vehicles seemed to have lots of 'servo-type' motors on them as far as I can remember.

    Any ideas?

Yep, definitely Starcom. My kid brother had the big space station dooberry - it was class. You placed the little guy in an airlock and twisted a little lever. A magnet under the 'floor' dragged him through so it looked like he was walking through the airlock. Mint.
