They've been so completely demolished from my memory that I have no recollection of them whatsoever...... Care to prompt my feeble grey matter a little further?

Basically a cloth sack with a balloon inside.. which made a hella light ball for kicking around the house and smacking into ppls faces.. actually come to think of it they might never have caught on over here, think I got it in america on holidays as a kid.. bah its all a blur :)

They weren't those balloons that you inflated inside a fabric cover so they couldn't burst were they. I had one I think.:)

Hmmmmm. I can remember something called a "Grumples" - a soft toy which 'blew a raspberry' when you squeezed it (complete with pop-out tongue), but nothing which fits balzac's description.

"Grumples" primary application, of course, was to simulate farts whenever an adult dared to bend over / pick something up in the near vicinity. :p

    this

    and

    this

    and lots and lots of

    this

though I think that last one might be a bit too retro

    they were great !

especially good for a young puppy. light enough for his size, strong enough to handle nails + puppy teeth...

Are you sure it wasn't uncle Joe's Ball Sack that you were made to play with?

Oh, yeah they definately caught on here. I remember back in the day some guy got about twenty of them out of twenty-two presents for his birthday. It was so funny. He opened them one by one and they were all the same.
