LAN play???

    Gonna try and get Kawaks, final burn running on a LAN.

    Is this easy or hard??

    what do i need??
    havent tried it yet.

    going to get her a decent gamepad 1st :)

    its a bit difficult as there is no direct connection available in either of them. you would have to set up a kaillera server on one of the machines to do it.
    ive never set one up so i couldnt help.

    Kaillera is very easy to set up - it has just 1 config file which you need to set the URL for your machine on

    Would be good crack if someone set up a server so we could get a Street fighter tournament. Rankings could be made a sticky etc :) Anyone got a shell account? I'd imagine DSL would do if it was onjly a few of us.

    Well that was easy :D

    I didnt do anything ,doubleclicked on it "touched master server " and then used Join IP option on both machines.

    I wouldn't be able to play in Work

    I'm sure 56K Modem would be enough - hell, it's good enough for Half-Life Mods !!

    I'm on the piss tonight and tomorrow, however, so maybe Sunday - Anybody have a shell account where they can run a server ?

    I havn't a shell account, but I did write a Perl command line thing that works like a shell account on my web hosting machine - I'll see if I can run it there....

    Anybody else up for it ?

    KdjaC It won't let me join:( It says conecting.... but doesn't. I'd imagine its zone alarm thats causing the problem but the IP should look something like this shouldn't it?

    I was messing about with the CFG may have blocked internet access by mistake.

    Its running now on above IP.

    Anyone know how my 2nd PC can connect to it if i connect to "10.0.0.1" The machines actual IP on the network???

    If A few folks are goin to play it might be an idea to agree on an emulator and version.

    Hmmm well if we could get a decent connect we could have someone host a server it doesnt actually take much bwidth. We could have a mini tourney of different games and gernres etc.

    could you not get rev hellfire to stick one on vishnu or one of the other servers? as you said its takes up little bandwidth.
