For God's sake - RTE finally get in what was a great sitcom and then proceed to show it at 11:45 on a Monday night behind ****e like Fergus' Wedding which they're already showed.

    Why God why?

Is there someone I can kill for this?

...eh I mean e-mail that is.

    Yeah.

    E-mail.

    Sure.

thats just RTE... no connection whatsoever with their viewers. i remember years ago Network 2 was the first channel (including all the brittish channels) to have stargate - sg1. then they kept showin it later, and later at night till they just stopped showin it altogether. then sky one got it. then everyone wanted it.

sure look at Fr. Ted. RTE didn't want to know about it so the producers went to Channel4. then RTE sees how great it is and goes sniffing around Ch4 for it.

the list goes on, and on, ... ...

i'm quite sure there's plenty of ppl in there you can shoot. f*ck makin every bullet count. nail them twice if you can. :p

The west wing & sophamos etc are on too late. Law & Order was always on too late until recently .

RTE really are pretty bad at sceduling. TV3 make far better use of the programmes they have.

Thats just an Urban Legend,RTE were never propisitioned to do Father Ted.Graham Linehan had been working in england for a number of years and had formed a good relationship with people their and he was able toto work with them at channel 4.Coming back to RTE he would have had to have worked with all these people he had no relationship with so it wasnt practical to even try and put the show on RTE.Plus i am guessing he would have rather all of RIeland and England to see his work rather than just Ireland.
