Just a small query- how difficult first of all, in ye're experience is it to FIND a decent one bedroom flat or apartment in or near the city centre (Dublin)?... and secondly how expensive?

Not difficult if you have the cash. You're talking from 260 (for crap) to 600 (or even over in Ballsbridge). Ones down by Heuston station are 500pm for one bed with everything incl secure parking space.

    Get an Evening Herald.

    Al.

I get an Evening Herald every day, - thrust into my hand for free at Connolly Station as I await the sardine tin that takes me "home". Just thought I might find some more useful/helpful info. here, that's all.

Yep get them the same at Blackrock/Pearse/Tara (-- they've mountains of the b@stards at Tara!!)

But if you're actually ringing a place from Herald couple of points:

    * Ads are usually in there for 3 days - ring them day one & be ready to go that evening to view.
    * Herald comes out around 12 city centre, little longer further out - get it asap & ring people at lunchtime. Dont wait for last one, they've already had 50000 phone calls & the place is gone.

Well I won't be doing anything of the sort for a few months yet - gotta hang on where I am and save up the dosh.

I was just trying to get a feel for how difficult and expensive it will be when I *do*...

as for the Herald... well- I'd investigate other avenues first, but thanks for those common sense tips Trojan...
