Meteor Roaming and Credit Cards

Hi everyone first time posting in this forum.

I have been a prepaid customer of Meteor 085 well since they started up and up until now I havent had a problem with them.

I bought a sim pack whin I joined them and the two phones I used with them were sim free. one was my old 086 phone and the other was one I bought sim free because the meteor phones were both crap and network tied.

Here is my problem. With other networks as far as I can remember you could take your phone to another country if you requested it and topped up by a certain amount. but the good people at meteor like to do things different.

Meteor requires credit card details. not only that you cannot give them these credit card details over the phone you have to travel to one of their meteor stores none of which are near me to do this, and present yourself your card and identification to one of their people.

I have also found out since if you want to untie a phone from meteor you have to do the same thing. like what good is your credit card details going to be to them if your moving to another network.

Comreg say that it has nothing to do with them but I disagree as it prevents existing meteor customers from choosing whether to stay withmeteor or move somewhere else.

I just need to know what the conditions are with the other two prepaid mobile operators are with regard to roaming.

thanks for your help in advance
