Has anyone read Brave new world by Aldous Huxley? I saw a lot of people were into 1984, this book is quite similar set in the future,640 years after the first model t ford, society worships machines.

I prefer 1984 myself but Brave new world seems a fairly relevant book at the moment with all the arguments of America's wish to run the world, with happiness from mass produced goods, worshipping machines and soma their perfect drug for human happiness depicted in the book

Looks like this has been made into a series. Just seen it advertised on Sky. Thought people who have read the book would like to know.

Read it a good few years ago and enjoyed it. I preferred 1984 though.
