anyone know where I can get the cm4 demo without too much traffic or the site crashing????

i have not played the demo yet as i am at work but i have downloaded and so tempted to test it at work but i wont.

I have it just in case i dont get a hold of the mag.

So vaggabond your years of work have paid off and its finally all out in the open. No "legal isssues" anyhting like that well apart from the release date.

Any cant wait to play it and any change of getting some more information on the media and international management i cant 10 hours till i gert home and slap it on my computer and bring liverpool back from despair virtually anyway.

Unfortunately it crashes while installing here in work, which I means I might have to do some work (boo!) Shall download tonight and see what it's like.

recomended specs are 600MHz+ and 64 megs of ram + (really need 128 kinda thing)

download is about 30 megs...

network aspect is not in the beta demo, but its not a million miles away from the way it was in CM3; <pimp mode>only much faster...</pimp mode>

The game is absolute class, and there'll be no breezing through seasons like in the past. I was a bit sceptical over the overhead view thingy, but it is really good. A massive pat on the back to all involved and a kick up the rear end to get the actual game out on time. The demo should keep me busy til then though. Now, to actually get good at the game would be a help.

dont worry lads 99% of the bugs we have been told about are known and mostly fixed...

the other 1% is the reason we released a beta demo

The K6 2 issue is a weird one, as all K6 2's are below the min spec anyway. AMD dont want to know and have been no help...

seems rather sloooooow to me, running on an amd xp1800+(1.66ghz) 512 ddr, and a gf4 ti4200

I was expecting something a tad nippier.

And more details on themulti aspect please, vagga you fiend

Yea it feels a bit groggy, that 1sec pause from when you click on something to when it actually shows up gets quite annoying.

But if that's sorted out for the full release, I'll be a happy bunny.

i dint seem to get any news on tranfers. Normally cm3 tells you newcastle bid for chopra but cm4 doesnt.

the first i heard of him going to newcastle was when he playing agaist me. dont wanna have to sort list the whole database

I think the interface is a bit sluggish.

Like the features, but expected the game to run a bit smoother.

Looks quite nice. I like the overhead highlights. The interface is a bit sluggish alright, especially when going to the tactics screen. And some of the player attributes get obscured when a players injury, form, appearance etc details aren't minimised.

Other than that, seems nice. When is it due for release ?

Cheapest place i've found it is amazon.co.uk
Roughly exchanges to €36. Not sure about delivery charges, but shouldn't be that much.

Amazon are usually a few days late sending out after the release so you might have to wait while all your friends have the game!

tis v sluggish... but I like it overall...they removed a lot of functions from the demo though.. also, there is one huge huge bug that must be fixed before I consider buying the game

Another bug that me and a few of my mates encountered was the charity sheild match.

It said i won 2-1 as liverpool, but when i checked the score on a different screen it said 2-0 to arsenal.

Same sort of thing happened to a few of my mates.

Whats that about 3 friendlies? Its a 6 month fully playable demo.

I think all the teams have their friendly fixtures prearranged and they don't let you change them, so your stuck with whatever friendlies you have.

I must say I really liked the game presuming that the real release will run an awful lot less creakily. The 2-d match engine is fantastic and that was the bit I was most worried about really convincing and good.

The tactics looked fairly bewildering at first but when I got the hang of them they were enjoyable rather than a distraction.

I do worry about the ability of a total newbie to CM picking it up and finding it accesible. But that, as they say, isn't my problem.
